Pricing FAQs:

What is a transaction?

A single web request or execution of a single background job.

Our SDKs allow you to ignore specific requests or sample based on probability. See language-specific docs.

What happens when the transaction rate limit is exceeded on your selected plan?

If you exceed your volume limits for 15 or more days within a 30-day billing cycle, we will notify you via email that we intend to upgrade your account to the appropriate tier. The updated plan will be reflected at the beginning of your next billing period.
Please refer to the terms of service for more information on our automatic upgrade policy.

Our free tier allows a monthly limit of 300,000 transactions (i.e., 10,000 daily transactions). Please note that once you reach the monthly limit, any additional transactions won’t be recorded until the start of the next billing cycle. If you find your needs exceed the free limit, you can easily upgrade to one of our paid tiers in your billing portal.

What type of support is available?

We offer email and Discord support during the business day.

How do you install Scout?

You can start collecting insights in just 3 easy steps. Simply install your framework’s package/bundle, set a configuration key, and deploy. See our docs for more details.

How does Scout compare to other monitoring tools?

For many teams, Scout is a drop-in replacement for overly complicated APM tools, but with better insights and support from our dev team when needed. Users tell us that Scout guides them to the root cause of performance issues quickly and efficiently.

What is the overhead of the agent?

Our open-sourced benchmarks have shown the Scout agent adds 2.2% overhead for a representative web endpoint, which is substantially less than New Relic’s performance against the same benchmarks.

Do I need to sign a contract?

No contracts. You can cancel at anytime.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express on all plans. Invoicing is available.
